During your stay in the San Francisco Bay area, you will not want to miss the opportunity to tour one of the oldest breweries in the United States. Anchor Brewing can trace their roots all the way back to 1849, and their daily tours offer you the opportunity to be a part of that rich history. The brewery is located a short fifteen drive from the Mylo Hotel, so this is one destination that you just have to check out.
Let’s be honest; there is nothing quite like a cold beer on a warm summer day. So why not check out one of San Francisco’s most famous breweries to see where that beer comes from? Anchor Brewing provides twice daily tours throughout the week. From Monday through Friday, the tours are available at 10 AM and 1 PM. Tours begin at 11 AM and 2 PM on weekends. Plus, the brewery has recently added a happy hour tour that is available Friday-Sunday at 4:30 PM. Regular tours are $20 per person while the happy hour tours are just $25. Be sure to make reservations well in advance as these tours are extremely popular and sell out quickly. All tours are walking tours which include a history of Anchor Brewing and beers as well as insights into the brewing process. Of course, the best part of the tour comes at the conclusion where guests are able to sample freshly brewed beer in the Tap Room. You might want to try something new, but you can never go wrong with the famous Anchor Steam Beer. Don’t forget to pick up some Steam gear when you have finished your tour and tasting.
After an unforgettable day sampling and learning about one of the oldest craft breweries in America, make your way back to the Mylo Hotel to rest and recharge before an exciting night of dinner and dancing at one of the many area attractions.
